What Ive Been Up to: Well, since graduation, I’ve been attending CLC, majoring in Secondary Education with an emphasis in guidance. (Which means I want to be a high school guidance counselor). I have been keeping up with my dance skills by making the Varsity dance team @ CLC, the "Lancerettes", (whew! You wanna talk about exhaustion!?!), unfortunately CLC does not have a marching band, and taking aerobic dance classes. After getting all of my gen-eds out of the way at CLC, I'm hoping to transfer to Eastern Illinois University where I will (God willing! ;) ) get the rest of the required degrees and continue dancing on the Pink Panthers and be on the color guard team.
Inspiration for Current Team Members: Well, I have to say, my jaw about hit the ground when I heard that ya'll were going to do a Beatles Tribute Show! I'm completely green with envy! So PUHLEASE take advantage of this amazing opportunity you've been handed and make this show the incredible, heart-stopping show I know it can be. ( I mean, with Hey Jude in the line up, you can’t go wrong!) And be blessed, not scared stiff, that Noreen is putting muchos tosses in the routine. Tosses may be kinda intimidating, but they look awesome!! So again, I’m jealous. For the Newbies: Don’t be scared of large crowds. The rush you get from hearing a huge crowd cheer doesn’t come every day, so grasp it, and realize they're cheering for YOU. For all of you: Keep your heads high and smiles shining. It is the bonds of friendship, determination of practices and the adrenaline of shows and competing that makes color guard what it is: completely unforgettable. Thanks for the memories guys and good luck this season. I'll be in the stands.
P.S...PUHLEASE don't quit at band camp...that really sucks....
